On the 2008 BGA annual bus trip, we visited Chris Johnston's farm where he described his "Rip Strip" farming system. Given the prolonged drought in the south east, and fears that climate change will bring dryer seasons. Chris explains that one of the great benefits of minimum till cultivation is the preservation of soil moisture.
